《小公主》是小说家弗朗西斯·霍奇森·伯内特在1887年发表的一部儿童文学作品。在美国曾四次被搬上大银幕。1985年，以动画片形式推出的《世界名著剧场小公主》在日本播出，并轰动一时。
此次电视剧的拍摄正是以这一部不朽的名作为原型。
主人公黑田出生在一个世代过着优渥生活的家庭，从小无忧无虑。然而，父亲的突然死亡却让她陷入到极度的贫困及艰辛的生活中。
主人公经历由天堂到地狱的生活历练，却坚持无论在何种逆境中都保持着那份乐观与善良，这将会是一部非常富有内涵的电视剧。
9月上旬剧组将赴印度进行取景，向观众展现小公主极尽奢华的日常生活。

一部日本式的小公主总体看来一般但是也有一些感人的地方未来MM成熟了许多希望下一部她的作品更精彩
